This year’s Gala will be hosted by none other than Dai Henwood, one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most beloved and quick-witted comedy icons. Dai’s hosting a line-up stacked to the rafters with comedic brilliance with a premium blend of local legends and international favourites taking over the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre for one unforgettable night.

All proceeds support the New Zealand Comedy Trust and its work developing the next generation of comedy talent across Aotearoa.

Check out the sculpture of celebrated Kiwi opera singer Dame Kiri Te Kanawa which sits on Level 3 of the Aotea Centre. It was created by local artist Terry Stringer and unveiled by Dame Kiri Te Kanawa herself when the auditorium was named in her honour in 2019.

The Aotea Centre is a short walk up Queen Street from Waitematā Station, and the Civic car park is conveniently located beside the venue if you’re driving.
